We’ve been watching the drama unfold between the US Department of War and Anthropic with (troubled) interest. Although some of the AI hype is, well, just hype, it’s everywhere and we all need to be thinking about the real use cases for AI and what safeguards we’re putting into place when we use it. The safeguards you need are different from those the US Department of War *should* be considering, but every day some enthusiastic nonprofit staff member uses a free AI tool and publicly exposes their org’s private data without realizing it. Don’t let it be your staff member! What policies do you have in place for AI use in your organization?
